High volume traffic peaks – WordPress + static pages

Hey guys!

So I need an advice. I’ve got group of pages – two bigger one based on wordpress(around 7gbs in total) and up to 10 static html landing pages which main task is to inform about specific product and direct to a proper online store (external one). Average monthly traffic is around 50k UU/mo. But every third month – more less – we do an online promotion via gads so the traffic in total increase even up to 500k uu/mo.

I need to switch my current shared hosting as their support and uptime is a total disaster. Yearly we pay around 190 USD.

Having in mind traffic peaks and avg traffic – can you recommend anything decent? Ideally a kind of shared/cloud hosting which do not require devops or admin onboard as we do not have such people. Some of the providers has offered us managed vps and some claim it’s still an overkill – as we do not use any sophisticated configuration.

Our target audience is mainly within the USA and the UK. We use google suite for the mailboxes.

If shared hosting will be enough? Or vps is a must? If vps then what kind of setup (cores vs ram)? Thanks
